SIX WORD PRAYERS
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
I knew a priest who told me that his prayers had gotten shorter and shorter over his lifetime, not because he was in any hurry to pray, but because he had realized what it was he wanted to say to God in nearly every prayer for himself. His own personal prayer was, “I’m sorry. Help me. Thank you.” Cont'd

HOLY WEEK AND THE SACRED TRIDUUM
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
One of the great strengths of Christianity is that it is manifested in so many rich and diverse ways. While we agree on the centrality of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as the key to what it means to be a Christian, we have, throughout time and around the world, found nearly limitless ways to express that shared foundational belief. IS ATHEISM A RELIGION?
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Several books have come out recently decrying religion and promoting atheism as the only correct way to view the world. Personally, whenever I hear someone say that something is “the only correct way,” I get very suspicious. Cont'd

PLAYGROUND RULES VERSUS BACKYARD RULES
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
When I was kid, my brothers and I would often play football with the other boys in the neighborhood. I was the youngest. (That meant, according to Darwin, that in order to survive, I had to make up with wit what I lacked in height and weight). Cont'd

DISCOVERING WHAT'S IMPORTANT
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Recent events have reminded me that when we look back, the most important things we’ve done rarely seemed the most important at the time. Cont'd

WHAT TO REMEMBER ON ST. VALENTINE’S DAY
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
As many of you know, Lent is perhaps my favorite season in the liturgical year, in part because it has yet to be co-opted by Hallmark, Walmart and all of the other great commercial high-jackers of Holy days. Cont'd

"We wanted our daughter involved in a school where the foundation was built on faith in God. We wanted her to see her faith work in all environments outside of church and home. Redeemer Academy is a school that is accepting of all people and their faiths and has an Honor Code that holds not only the students responsible, but also the teachers, faculty, board and parents accountable. This Redeemer Academy is an answer to our prayers." - Kristen, 2nd Grade Parent
