Dr. John Cooper Scholarship Fund

On July 26th, 2007, Redeemer Episcopal Academy lost its leader, visionary and chief advocate, less than one month before the school’s opening.  His charismatic presence touched everyone who met him.  To honor his memory and fulfill his vision, the school established the Dr. John Cooper Memorial Scholarship Fund.

To donate, please send a check made out to The Redeemer and send to Jim Borland at 1060 Salem Walk Dr., Suite 1A, Greensboro, GA 30642 Redeemer Episcopal Academy and include “John Cooper Scholarship” on the “for” line; or click here and donate securely online.

Dr. Cooper’s love of children guided his entire career.  For more than 35 years, he served in upstate New York as a teacher, principal, superintendent of schools, university professor and a sought-after educational consultant.  He was selected as the New York State Principal of the Year and is a member of the University Hall of Fame. He is missed, and his footprint on Redeemer Episcopal Academy is deep.

"Redeemer Episcopal Academy is setting the standard for the highest quality education. We are proud to have our daughter enrolled there. She is treated as an individual, and her teacher stretches her to her fullest potential. Our daughter is excited about going to school, and it’s hard to get her to leave each day. Small classes, strong academics, safe environment, daily Spanish and individual attention are all characteristics that drew us to Redeemer Academy." - Kelley, 2nd Grade Parent
