  Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program

Georgia GOAL Scholarship ProgramThe Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program provides children throughout the state with Greater Opportunities for Access to Learning (“GOAL”). The GOAL Scholarship program allows children who are currently enrolled in a Georgia primary or secondary public school or who are entering

Kindergarten or Pre-kindergarten to transfer to independent schools and have part of their tuition paid with state funds if the family qualifies.

Funding for the GOAL Scholarship Program comes from individual and corporate tax contributions.  Taxpayers who redirect their state income tax dollars to GOAL receive a tax credit for their designated amount that can be applied against Georgia income tax liability and a federal charitable income tax deduction, provided they itemize.

More information on how to participate in the Georgia GOAL Scholarship program can be found at http://www.goalscholarship.org/.

To qualify for the GOAL scholarship, a student must be first accepted by Redeemer Episcopal Academy. REA then submits the application for the GOAL scholarship for the student. Families must complete the SSS application for consideration by the Financial Aid committee.

Families will be notified of GOAL Scholarship awards by April 1, 2011.
