Visual Arts |
Art appreciation, history and application are incorporated into various lesson plans at all grade levels. Our full-time resource leader has had the opportunity to create meaningful and stimulating art projects to complement core courses to improve students’ ability, creativity, confidence and appreciation of fine arts. Students recently completed a wall mural modeled after the paintings of Diego Rivera as part of a Social Studies lesson. In some lessons, the teacher is inspired by films or books and suggests drawing a picture based on their motives. Such an interactive not only arouses enthusiasm in the younger generation, but also forces to develop imagination and cultural vision. In the last lesson, the students themselves offered to create a picture based on the film "pursuit of happiness".
